When it dips down to the 70s here in LA we pretend it’s cold enough for a hot beverage, so here’s one for you: champurrado, or Mexican style hot cocoa. I made this one using a traditional molinollo, a wooden whisk from Oaxaca. And since I’m in Southern California posting a drink inspired by Mexican cuisine, here’s a Southern Californian band singing a song inspired by Mexican music: Mariachi El Bronx doing “Revolution Girls” in 2011 on #Letterman.
